Greetings Gambit Players!

In this post we will outline all changes made within this Foundation Patch.
The changes are extensive and impact pretty much every aspect of the game. Every class, every Pet, every dungeon.

Global Changes Summary

 
We will outline some of the more broader changes first. This is also meant as a form of overview for what to expect once the Server is back up.
 

  • P.Pierce% and M.Pierce% are no longer in the game  
    This also effects P.Ignore and M.Ignore.
    In many cases the stats was replaced by Acc and/or M.Acc. In a few places by P.Atk and/or M.Atk.
     

  • Area of Effect Skils had there behaviour adjusted  
    Skills now deal the same damage to a maximum of 8 targets. With the 9th target onwards the damage will start to be distributed among the monsters hit. As a rough example: Double the Target Count, Half the Damage for each monster
    Important Note: Hitting more than 8 Targets does not reduce your "actual" damage. The Skill deals the same total amount of damage in all cases, just the portion each monster receives is smaller once 9 or more are hit. This change alone increases the Damage output of almost all AoE Skills. Only a few are now reduced in power due to this (Ethereal Pixie Skills for example).

  • Monster Defensive Values have been changed drastically  
    The biggest changes happend from Devildom Stage 1 onwards. Monster now have around x10 less max HP compared to before but more defenses.

  • Changes to damage increasing debuffs  
    Debuffs that would lower P.Def or M.Def of a target only had small effects before. Once a class reached 100% Pierce/Ignore, they lost even that. They were replaced by Debuffs that increase all types of damage universally, by the listed value. All of those Debuffs increases the Physical, Magical and Basic Attack Damage dealt. In a way they are now mini Luna Chip Effects that stack with each other.
       
    Example of the damage increase: A Monster would take 1.000.000 Damage With Lunachip this Damage would be 2.000.000 With a 10% Debuff this would deal a total of 2.100.000 Damage (10% of the original Damage) Multiple Sources stack additively with each other, not multiplicative.  
     
    Debuffs on Monsters still increase each Partymembers Damage of course.

  • Cooldown Display change  
    Cooldown Times are now taken directly from the Database and are no longer text based. They should now display the correct Cooldown in all cases. Some passive reductions wont be shown however (TP Skills for example).

  • Damage over Time Effects have been adjusted massively  
    The main reason for this is that DoTs ignore all P.Def and M.Def values and Monster now have a lot less max HP (~x10 smaller on average) Big AoE DoT Effects have been turned into an Area-Bound Effect that deals Hit-Based Damage over a certain time. This Damage is affected by P.Def and M.Def as they are "hits" now. Most Single Target DoTs had there Damage reduced significantly but their Hit Damage Part buffed where possible.

  • The Server Creature Damage-Taken Multiplier was reduced by ~70%  
    This means your Creatures now take less than half the damage from before. Other Damage reducing Buffs have been adjusted accordingly. This does not include PvP Damage they receive!

  • The PvP Multiplier for Classes and Pets were adjusted  
    While we focused on PvE Balance, some PvP changes were also included. If you encounter any outstanding issues that break PvP, please report this to us!

  • EXP Level Cap has been increased  
    The max level is still 250 but it takes more EXP from level 230 onwards now.

All players with a higher level as 230 had there level adjusted accordingly to the new EXP curve
As an example, a Player who was lvl 250 will be lvl 238

  • Added a level 240 Reward

All players who already reached lvl 240 or 250 will receive the level up rewards again

Crowns will be given out again based on the Top 1 EXP amount of any class type. There is still a one crown per Account limit.

Dungeon changes

Devildom   The transitions between the stages has been adjusted to be a more linear progression. This mainly effects Stages 3 and 4.

Sky Fortress  

  • Daily Quests now give 200 Skypearls each as an optional reward

  • Minibosse and Devil Skeleton  
    Their Defenses were buffed, making them more of a fight now

  • Sky Accessory crafting changes  
    Sky Sapphire now only need 10x Sky Azurite (instead of 20)

  • Sky Accessory Set change The full Sky Set now gives a 10% damage reduction auro like the Yushiva Set does

Fortress of Sorrows

  • Improvements for crafting Sorrows Gear

Every upgrade step had its chances increased significantly.

The smallest increases are +10% while the biggest are +20%.

  • Minibosses and Boss  
    Their Defenses were buffed, making them more of a fight now

  • Gameplay changes  
    The dungeon is now seperated in dedicated areas. Each one has a Mob Counter and a Quest Reward. The typ of reward changes each time the Quest is completed, the amount is random each time.
    Bosses and Miniboss areas have a primary target and a secondary target quest with different rewards.
    If only the primary target is completed, the player will receive only the main reward but can proceed to the next area without having to complete the secondary target.

A word about damage and changes that look like nerfs

The global changes to the game (Pierce, AoE and Defenses) had the result that many things were absolutly broken OP at first. This was especially the case for classes that could not reach 100% Pierce.
Those classes had their Damage or Skills buffed to compensate that lack of Pierce, which now needed to be reduced again.
Many changes do read like they are nerfs. In most cases this is not what the actual result looks like ingame.
There were of course some nerfs made on to powerful classes. We tried to nerf as little as possible but buff as much as possible.
We included all mechanical changes like CD, Duration, AoE Range, Debuff potency etc. But we excluded all mentions of increased or lowered damage. As a general rule, all skills you used before are still good skills. Several useless skills are now usefull. And some a bit less.
When a certain skill is not listed in these patchnotes, chances are high they were buffed indirectly by the global changes and didnt need any further adjustments.

We want to invite you to experiment with your class and pets anew with this patch. There for sure will be some surprises as well as some broken interactions we overlooked.

General Class changes

  • The Top 3 Talentpoint Skills now have 3 level instead of 2. They still unlock the whole Skilltree Section with just 2 Level
  • The 3 Talentpoint Passives have received 2 more levels each. They all have increasing Joblevel requierements

Berserker

  • Steel Presence
    Now has 3 level on the Skilltree (from 2)

    Is now an fixed Area around the targeted Monster
