The Art of Playing the Master Breeder

Introduction

The Master Breeder is a Deva summoner class centered around utilizing pets. In this class, your character plays a secondary role as a stat stick or healer. What sets the Master Breeder apart is the need to balance two important stats - intelligence and critical power - in order to maximize damage.

Pet Combinations

The Master Breeder has the ability to use multiple pets. While the most common combination is the Ethereal Pixie and Crystal Golem, there are other viable combinations. Examples include Ethereal Pixie and Wind Pixie, as well as Ethereal Pixie and Grandmaster Hector. It is worth noting the recurring presence of the Ethereal Pixie in these combinations, which will be further explained later.

Law of Exchange - Potency

The Law of Exchange is a Talent Point skill that defines the essence of being a Master Breeder. It sets this class apart from other pet-based classes, as it allows the Master Breeder to derive damage from their pets' maximum MP and HP. One important detail to consider is that this skill only takes into account the stats of the first pet in your formation. As a result, if you have a pet with high MP, your other pet will have high magical attack damage, and if you have a pet with high HP, your other pet will have high physical attack damage.

Breeders Synergy

Breeders Synergy is a vital passive skill for the Master Breeder. It enables the sharing of intelligence and strength points with your pets. By sharing intelligence, the maximum MP is increased, resulting in higher magical damage. For this reason, it is crucial to find a balance between Breeders Synergy and Holy Link. Additionally, the magical build is generally preferred over the physical build since Law of Exchange only applies to strength for physical damage. Consequently, it does not increase maximum HP and cannot fully utilize the Law of Exchange skill.

Holy Link

Holy Link is a well-known passive skill among Master Breeders. It allows you to share a percentage of your critical power with your pets. By increasing the multiplier, the damage of both Breeders Synergy and Law of Exchange skills is enhanced.

Character Build

The Master Breeder class may initially be confusing for those unfamiliar with it. To address this, I will provide an explanation of the current best build.

In the current state, it is essential to always have the skill Potency on your gears. This skill enhances the damage gained from maximum HP and MP. For rings, the recommended choice is 2 x 5 Creature Mastery rings. For earrings, Salvation Bestial earrings are suggested for the extra critical power, paired with 1x Yushivas Earring to activate the set bonus. Additionally, a Yushivas Necklace should be equipped. Regarding weapons, it is advisable to use a 1-handed staff with the maximum critical power of 6% and 1 mirror as the off-hand with the maximum critical power of 8%.

It is worth noting that a crossbow is not recommended since using a staff with a mirror provides an additional 14% intelligence.

Belt Equipment

Understanding the maximum potential stats of a belt is crucial. Contrary to the misconception that it is 30%, the actual maximum amount of stats you can obtain from a belt is 33.5%. The current best Master Breeder belt build consists of:

  • 2x stage 3 Ogres
  • 1x stage 4 Ogre
  • 2x stage 0 Koala
  • Reviac boss card
  • Lion boss card
  • Devil Slaughterer boss card

Building Your Pets

There are various ways to build your pets. However, I will provide a brief overview with some additional advice.

The first pet in your formation is the most crucial. Focus on maximizing its MP since doing so will increase the damage output of both pets. For this reason, the Blue Legendary Dragon armor will always be superior to a Yushivas Belt. The second pet can be built in a variety of ways, but the most commonly used build includes a weapon, Yushivas Belt, and shield. Additionally, artifacts should always prioritize double critical power.
